Friday, on Mighty Caregivers Circle, Jeremy and I had the opportunity to meet Monique Villalobos, and I have to tell you, I really enjoyed this conversation.

Sometimes you meet someone and within a few minutes you realize there is a reason your paths crossed.

Monique was born and raised in a tiny town in Colorado called Marble, population around 130. She got into healthcare at 18 and spent 15 years caring for others.

But over those years, she experienced things that stayed with her. The people she cared for, the families, the loss, the emotional weight that comes with being the person others depend on.

And like so many caregivers, she wasn't really taught what to do with all of that.

Eventually, her own body told her it was time to pay attention.

That experience led her down a completely different path and eventually to creating The Sacred Reset, where she shares practical tools to help caregivers and healthcare providers learn how to care for themselves, too.

And this is what really stuck with me from our conversation:

Caregivers need care, too.

We talk so much about taking care of the people we love, but who is taking care of the caregiver?

That's one of the things I love about Mighty Caregivers Circle. We're creating a space where caregivers can be seen, heard, encouraged and connected.

I am thankful we have Monique as a Mighty Caregiver. I have a feeling this won't be our last conversation.

If you want to hear Monique tell her story in her own words, check out today's episode of Mighty Caregivers Circle.

Whilee you're watching, if you are a caregiver to someone:

Who is taking care of you?

Because sometimes the answer needs to be you.

You are valuable, you matter, make sure you take care of you.

Keep it Simple.

God Loves You. And so do I.
