There is something about starting the week with a clean home. Food prepped. Attitude in the right place.

Sunday morning was slower than normal. I am learning that it's OK to not be going 120 mph all of the time. We need to take time to stop. Slow down. Reconnect with God. Clean the bathroom. Vacuum the house. LOL.

And do some food prep for the week.

It really is satisfying to see the fruits of our labors.

I woke up about 6am, but fell back to sleep until 6:50ish. I have a prayer/life call with some business friends on Sunday mornings at 7am, and I didn't want to miss it.

Coffee and conversation, starting with prayer.

My kind of morning.

Then I decided to get the rest of my trip put away. Yes, I STILL had a bit of a mess from the two-week road trip! Not much. It just needed to be done.

I cleaned the apartment, vacuumed, organized and just got my life put back together.

The Jeep was filthy too, so I tried to give it a bath. It looks better, but those darn love bugs have managed to destroy the front of my baby! 😭

But throughout the day, I couldn't help but reminisce on just two years ago.

I was preparing for a hurricane.

Packing.

Getting groceries.

Water. Supplies.

So much has changed.

So many blessings.

And some obstacles.

So many opportunities have come out of a time in my life that was extremely difficult.

I had never been homeless before. So when Milton hit, almost two years ago to the date, I did NOT even consider that I would be homeless when it was over.

But there I was.

A home that had severe damage. No carport, roof or patio left to it. The neighbor reported he thought it was a tornado, and it happened two hours before the storm was over.

I was devastated.

I was in shock.

I was scared.

I had no clue where I would live. How would I make it?

There were times when it seemed like time was standing still.

And now, when I look back, I am just in awe at how much I have changed.

And how much life, in general, has changed.

Now, present time, I am so blessed to have a home I can clean, cook, plan my week and wonder what God is going to do next.

I have no idea.

And I'm actually okay with that.

Because looking back, I know He's already where I am going .

And no matter where that is, I will be OK.

He will never leave me behind.

Keep it Simple. Jesus Loves You.And so do I.
