Lately, I’ve been thinking about my fitness goals and what I really want for myself. The other day, I thought, maybe I will train for a Women's Physique competition. (haha lol) After talking to a personal trainer today, I realized that isn't what I want to do, yet.

What I do want is to get my body into better shape. (I look and feel pretty amazing) However, we can always be and do better. I want to become stronger. I want to learn how to strength train properly so that I can do it on my own.

I had been wanting to find someone who could help me with this. I wanted and needed accountability. (Obviously, I would have preferred a free buddy. LOL)

I want to build more muscle, not for vanity, for longeviity. I know, muscle is life. Muscle is metabolism.

After talking with Lisa on the phone, I knew I had to meet her in person. When I walked into her little studio on Tuesday, she immediately hugged me. It felt like I'd known her forever.

The studio is simple. Free weights, one-on-one training and no big gym atmosphere. That's exactly what I was looking for. Her program is also hybrid, which I really like.

She offers a couple of options and they come with her personal training 1x a week, daily check in's and workouts you can do at home. AND the support and accountability I so desperately need! I know what needs to be done, I need the dicipline. (I am sure I am not alone here)

On the way there today, I prayed for God to be present. I prayed for the Holy Spirit to be activated in me.

And when the meeting was over, I absolutely believe God brought me there and put me in front of her.

Or even vice versa.

I have asked God, on multiple occasions, to put me in front of the right people, and today, I believe He did exactly that. We definitely had a great conversation, and I feel it is the beginning of a beautiful sisterhood.

Today was about me taking another step toward something I've wanted to do for a while.

It's about getting stronger. Learning. Being accountable. Investing in myself. And being willing to step outside of my comfort zone.

Another place where God has introduced me to people I probably never would have met otherwise, Fit by Faith. What a wonderful group of ladies, all with the same fire for Jesus! I absolutely LOVE it, so much!

Maybe that's what happens when we start saying yes to the things that keep nudging at us.

What I am learning is, when I feel a nudge, no matter how ridiculous I think it sounds, I need to pay attention. (Me... a Women's Physique competition? LOL. PLEASE.) Stay tuned. It's not a no.

God doesn't put limitations on our capabilities.

Why do we?

Is there something you've been wanting to do?

Something you've been feeling a nudge to do, but you've been fighting the urge?

Let this be a sign.

DO THE THING!

Life is short. Take care of your body.

Do the things that make you happy, and do not let anyone steal your joy!

Keep it Simple.

Jesus Loves You. And so do I.
