When I made the decision to take this to the next level and turned it into a road trip, I originally didn't think I could afford to do a camping trip. It was supposed to be one night in a hotel, which would have been less expensive. (I had 0 camping gear)
I even told my SIL I didn't think I could pull it off. I had some money saved, but since finances had been tight since the fraud incident, I was just getting back to normal. I just didn't think I could afford to do the trip at all after the most recent setback.
I was really worried. Not just about the last setback, but also because I was feeling overwhelmed at the thought of having to cancel Dallas and let the three people who are joining me down.
I remember feeling very defeated. Angry. Not at the situation, but at myself for allowing this particular setback to even happen. I had control over the outcome and ignored it. I remember telling my sister, when she asked me if I was still going to Dallas, “I am NOT going to worry about Dallas. I have three months. I trust God will put a plan into place and I'll be able to go.”
I think I just knew, somehow, it would all work out.
I was worried at first. Like I said, angry, frustrated and already feeling like I was drowning financially. And I know 100%, I reacted in a not so “Christlike” way. NOT with the “trust in God” way, at first.
But then I just did what I had to do. I did what I had control over.
I prayed. I listened. I started donating plasma to offset the setback. I put myself on a NEED ONLY spending plan.
Food. Gas. Dog needs.
Make Wellness is growing, so that definitely helps each and every month.
AND, most importantly, I trusted God.
Pray.
Listen.
Trust God with the rest.
Because sometimes you don't see the way forward.
God does.
Now, I am, getting ready to hit the road.
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?”
